Cast nylon pipes (also commonly referred to as hollow bars, tubular bars, or MC nylon tubes) are high-performance engineering plastics produced through monomer casting (PA6G). Unlike extruded nylon, the casting process allows for the production of thick-walled, large-diameter pipes with very low internal stresses and enhanced crystallinity.
Core Technical Properties
- Mechanical Strength: High tensile strength (80–90 MPa) and high impact resistance, even at lower temperatures.
- Wear & Friction: Excellent abrasion resistance with a low coefficient of friction, enabling use with minimal or no lubrication.
- Temperature Range: Typically operates continuously from -40°C up to +105°C (with short-term spikes up to +170°C).
- Weight Reduction: Approximately 1/7th the weight of cast iron and 1/8th the weight of bronze, significantly lowering structural loads and making installation easier.
- Chemical Resistance: Highly resistant to hydrocarbons, oils, greases, fuels, and diluted alkalis.
